Much in the fashion of the Hallowe'en Ball, Albus entered the Great Hall and smiled appreciatively. Once again, Professor Flitwick and his assistants had done a marvelous job of decorating. The tables were set off to each side, adorned with endless food and drink, as well as sprigs of holly and twinkling lights. A lilting waltz seemed to emanate from nowhere. The enormous tree at the head of the room threw off nearly enough light to brighten the entire hall, bathing everything in a warm, festive glow. The corners that would be left darkened were alight with candles and fireplaces, and the ceiling proudly displayed its ability to mimic a snowy December sky.
Albus caught Professor Flitwick's eye and smiled broadly. "I do believe the Hall is ready for the students to arrive." |
